| episode_narrative | During the month of July, the Gap Wildfire charred 9,443 acres of forest in the Los Padres National Forest. The fire was located in the Santa Ynez Mountains north of the community of Goleta. Numerous small neighborhoods in the canyons were forced to evacuate due to the proximity to the fire. The only significant damages reported were four outbuildings and one recreational vehicle. Only minor firefighter injuries were reported. |
