Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA potent low pressure system lifting north through Ontario brought a strong low-level jet max across Upper Michigan resulting in widespread damaging winds and sporadic power outages over much of west and central Upper Michigan on the 9th. The strong winds and resulting downed power lines and relatively dry antecedent conditions also initiated several small wildfires across the area.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeThe USFS reported to dispatch that the Estes Lake Wildfire had burned nearly 16 acres northwest of Sidnaw. Three structures were destroyed in the fire, one camp and two outbuildings and one vehicle was also destroyed.
