The Borrega fire in Kleberg County spread rapidly through the evening hours on March 30th and morning hours of the 31st. The Borrega fire ultimately burned 51,566 acres mostly in Kleberg County, but also a small portion in Jim Wells County. The wildfire was contained by late afternoon on April 3rd.

The fire spread into Jim Wells County east of Premont on the 31st. The Borrega Fire burned 812 acres in eastern Jim Wells County.|The fire was contained by the afternoon of April 3rd.
