This fire was devastating to the area as it burned over 200 structures and was responsible for two fatalities. By the end of April 2022, the McBride Fire was 95 percent contained. On May 9, 2022, firefighters reached 100 percent containment. |

Due to a very persistent and windy pattern, this fire spread quickly to over 6,000 acres within five days. Firefighters fully contained the McBride Fire on May 9, 2022. While over 200 homes and structures were lost during April and two fatalities were confirmed, there are no known structures that were lost during May. |
