Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA clipper system generated high winds but brought little to no precipitation to the forecast area. Dry conditions and winds peaking at 68 mph in eastern Edmunds County with similarly high gusts across the James Valley resulted in blowing dust. These same winds were also responsible for a vehicle rollover in Day county. Even drier conditions in central South Dakota combined with winds that peaked around 55 mph, resulting in the spread of a nearly 500 acre sized grass fire 7 miles southwest of Murdo.
