On the 16th, a weak cold front approached the area late in the afternoon accompanied by a line of thunderstorms. Near the town of Eagle Mills, a man was struck by lightning. Trees were also downed nearby. The next day featured storms transpired by a weak disturbance passing through the Ohio Valley. Storms once again weakened on approach, but did inflict a few trees to be blown down in Neelysville.
