While convection with damaging winds and large hail developed in the warm air south of the front, freezing rain and sleet was common to the north of the front. Significant icing occurred over parts of central and west central Missouri and into southeast Kansas and portions of southwest Missouri. The heaviest freezing rain and ice accumulations occurred during the late evening of the February 6th into the morning hours of February 7. In addition, severe storms with damaging winds and flooding occurred to the south of the front in the warmer air. |
