Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeShowers and thunderstorms formed across the middle Ohio River Valley on the 20th as a warm front lifted through. The showers and storms eventually organized into a line which moved through central and southern West Virginia during the early evening. Sub-severe wind gusts caused isolated tree damage, wind observations across the area were generally 35 to 45 knots. One tree was also struck by lightning earlier that afternoon and fell onto a home and car.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeA large tree limb fell onto a house and car. The homeowner says they heard a loud clap of thunder and then saw part of the tree falling. The roof of the house's front porch was damaged. The car received some dents and scratches and the windshield was cracked.
