The showers and storms eventually organized into a line which moved through central and southern West Virginia during the early evening. Sub-severe wind gusts caused isolated tree damage, wind observations across the area were generally 35 to 45 knots. One tree was also struck by lightning earlier that afternoon and fell onto a home and car. |
