| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms developed over northwestern Connecticut during the afternoon hours on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. This was due to an upper level disturbance passing through the area. The severe weather knocked down numerous trees and power lines, produced large hail as well as isolated flash flooding in Litchfield county. Flash flooding occurred in the towns of Kent and Cornwall Center, with a report of a road being partially washed out. There was a maximum rainfall report of 3.03 inches in Kent from the storms. |
