Event narrativeevent_narrativeA swimmer was indirectly struck by lightning along the 6000 block of A1A South, about 1 mile south of the Crescent Beach ramp. He was ankle deep in water when the event occurred. He was treated at the scene by county fire rescue, then transported to a Jacksonville hospital where he was in serious condition. The extent of injuries were unknown.
