episode_narrativeScattered thunderstorms formed over portions of central and southern Oklahoma during the evening of the 23rd, producing isolated wind damage, large hail, and lightning strikes. Across Hughes County 3 miles west of Wetumka, several window panes were blown out; trees were uprooted; roofs were blown off of several outbuildings, and 2 barns were destroyed, while in Wewoka in Seminole County, numerous trees and powerlines were blown down; several roofs and the wall of a building were damaged; and lightning struck an occupied house, igniting a fire which completely destroyed the house. Lightning also struck several power lines throughout Wewoka. Seven power poles were downed 5 miles south of Walters in Cotton County; 4 power poles were downed 1 miles north of Grandfield in Tillman County; large tree limbs were downed 4 miles north of Devol in Cotton County, and lightning struck a power pole in Corum in Stephens County. Also in Stephens County, large tree limbs and power lines were downed in Duncan.
