episode_narrativeThunderstorms which formed over portions of western and central Oklahoma during the late evening of the 29th and the early morning of the 30th, produced isolated areas of severe weather, flooding, and lightning damage. Thunderstorms formed first over western Oklahoma. A county road was closed between Selman and Buffalo in Harper County, while 3 miles west of Buffalo, Highway 64 was closed due to high water. In Perry in Noble County, a power line was struck by lightning, which then started a fire at a nearby residence, and also in Perry, lightning struck a tree, which then fell onto numerous power lines. In Blackwell in Kay County, lightning struck another tree, which fell onto a house. To the south, in Pontotoc County, widespread street flooding was reported throughout Ada. On North Broadway, water was reportedly a foot deep, causing several vehicles to stall, while in Elgin in Comanche County, a tractor trailer was blown over, and the wall of a nearby cafe was damaged.
