| episode_narrative | Severe thunderstorms that developed north of an approaching warm front dropped large hail across north-central Wisconsin and produced damaging winds in the central part of the state during the morning. Trees were downed by the strong winds as the storms passed 4 miles north of Wautoma (Waushara county). Lightning caused extensive damage in Kewaunee (Kewaunee county) where a tree was debarked and another was knocked down. Pieces of wood from the trees went through the outside wall of a house causing damage inside the house. The wire running from the power pole to the house was completely melted. The electric meter was blown off the house and the breaker box in the basement was blown up. The telephone box outside was found across the highway. Lightning caused damage at a Leopolis (Shawano county) farm, making a 50 foot long trench in the ground, knocking out a wall in a steel utility shed and knocking blocks out of a wall in a small barn. The lightning also destroyed numerous appliances inside the farmhouse. |
