As the cold front approached during the early evening hours, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms developed and moved from west to east across the region. One of these thunderstorms produced a damaging lightning strike over Columbia County. ||The threat for thunderstorms ended by the late evening hours, as the cold front passed through the region and drier air moved into the area. |
