Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAhead of an approaching cold front, a warm and humid air mass was in place over northwestern Connecticut on Tuesday, May 19th. As the cold front approached during the early evening hours, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms developed and moved from west to east across the region. Some of the thunderstorms became severe, producing damaging winds to trees and power lines. In addition, two of the thunderstorms produced damaging lightning strikes as well. ||The threat for thunderstorms ended by the late evening hours, as the cold front passed through the region and drier air moved into the area.
