| episode_narrative | Summary of events of June 9, 1998:Severe thunderstorms moved from west Texas into north Texas during the afternoon of the 9th, producing large hail and damaging thunderstorm winds. The largest hail (up to the size of baseballs) was reported north of Electra in Wichita County. The strongest winds were estimated at 90 mph south of Holliday in Archer County. A particularly severe thunderstorm affected Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita County, causing extensive damage to many of the buildings and an aircraft.
