The most notable occurrence with these thunderstorms was the frequent lightning associated. Lightning strikes caused several major fires across Muskegon, Kent, and Ottawa Counties, causing over half a million dollars in damages. Winds gusted to 60-mph in Muskegon and wind gusts downed trees or limbs in Calhoun and Jackson Counties. No injuries were reported with any of these events. |
