episode_narrativeThe second severe thunderstorm of the evening knocked down numerous trees and wires in the northwest part of Sussex County in Frankford, Montague, Sandyston and Wantage Townships. Frankford and Montague Townships were hit the hardest. The tree damage was so extensive in parts of Stoke Forest that the campgrounds were expected to be closed for up to two weeks for cleanup. Campers were evacuated before the thunderstorm hit. A Sandyston Township man was injured when he received an electrical shock while using the telephone during the thunderstorm.
