| episode_narrative | Lightning struck a house within New Britain Borough the morning of the 6th. It caused an electrical fire within the basement and badly damaged it. Fire damage was confined to the basement, but heat and smoke damage spread through the first and second floors of the house. No injuries occurred or property damage estimate was available. Thunderstorms produced between 4,000 and 5,000 cloud to ground strikes that morning across Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. PECO Energy and Pennsylvania Power and Light reported 30,200 customers lost power beacuse of the lightning strikes, about 6,000 within Bucks County. |
