| Event narrativeevent_narrative | A 27 year old male was struck by lightning while inside his home. The lightning struck just as he was closing an aluminum storm door that was blown open by the wind. It first hit his backyard and traveled up the porch, to the storm door, and through his body. He was barefoot at the time and the lightning knocked him to the floor in pain. He was unable to talk for awhile but refused to be transported to the hospital. His arm was swollen the following day and his joints remained stiff. |
