As a weak surface low pushed across the region a strong short wave also moved across the northern gulf coast. This set up provided support for a few severe thunderstorms in Louisiana, however only one developed in Southeast Texas.
Event narrativeevent_narrative	Lightning struck a home of a Southeast Texas doctor setting the roof on fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze after a neighbor reported it. No one was injured in the fire.
