Some of the storms associated with the front reached severe limits producing wind gusts around 70 mph. These damaging wind downed several trees in both Stokes and Rockingham Counties. In Surry County, lightning from another storm brought down a tree onto a home, causing extensive damage to the sunroom portion of the house.
