| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A hot and humid airmass combined with an approaching cold front sparked strong to severe thunderstorms across southern New Hampshire during the late afternoon and early evening hours of 27 July. These thunderstorms produced damaging winds and dangerous lightning across Cheshire and Hillsborough counties as they moved through the region.The severe winds brought down trees and power lines across Cheshire and Hillsborough counties. In Manchester, approximately one half dozen trees were knocked down in a cemetery from these winds. In Mason, a 12 inch diameter tree was downed from these storms. In addition, a lightning strike caused a barn fire in Bennington.No injuries directly resulted from these strong to severe storms. |
