The two had been picking up toys at a Kingston Lake beach when the storm approached and were trying to reach a clubhouse when the lightning struck. The lightning left both the mother and boy unable to move and in a semi-conscious, paralyzed state immediately after the incident, and both were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. |
