About 3,000 homes and businesses lost power in Ocean and neighboring Monmouth County. All power was restored by the 22nd. Around 600 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes occurred in Ocean and Monmouth Counties between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EDT. In Brick Township, two homes were struck by lightning on Church Road and the ensuing fires caused minor damage. Power outages in Ocean County were concentrated in Manchester Township, Brick Township, Lakewood Township, Bay Head Borough, Mantoloking Borough and Point Pleasant Borough.
