Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeThe largest severe weather event to strike Middle Tennessee in the summer of 2014 affected the area during the afternoon hours on August 20. Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms produced numerous reports of wind damage and measured wind gusts up to 75 mph, as well as a few reports of flash flooding. The ASOS at Clarksville Outlaw Field measured a wind gust of 75 mph, which is likely the strongest wind gust ever measured in Clarksville, although historical wind records are incomplete.
