Some of these storms produced hail and very heavy rainfall. Slow storm movement and the intense rainfall led to flooding in some locations. The most persistent heavy rainfall occurred from Adrian to Monroe to the southern suburbs of Detroit, where rainfall rates of 2 inches per hour were reported.
