| event_narrative | Bill Haynes, a 24 year old veteran of the Gallatin Fire Department, was answering an emergency call when lightning surged through the telephone line. The jolt threw him back in his chair. Haynes was treated and released from Sumner Medical Center. He was left with a tingling sensation in his arm. The lightning knocked out the telephones and computers at the fire hall and nearby Gallatin City Hall. |
