episode_narrativeLightning struck a home in Winslow, causing damage to the home and a nearby water main. The lightning burned wires in the home, blew in a window, blew a softball-sized hole in the cellar floor, and cracked open an asphalt sidewalk, and damaged or destroyed electronic equipment in the home. A tenant, who was in the home at the time, was left with a hearing problem. Also, the bolt was suspected of traveling to a nearby water main which burst under the roadway. Water flooded the roadway, and the subsequent force of the water undermined the road, a sidewalk, and a portion of the nearby railroad tracks. Damage to the water main and roadway was estimated at $10,000 to $15,000.
