Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeThe upper ridge over the southeast U.S. weakened some as a strong upper trough was moving through the Ohio Valley and northeast U.S. A weak nearly stationary front was located across the Tennessee Valley. These systems were close enough to combine with moisture and afternoon heating and instability to produce scattered thunderstorms once again, a few of which became severe and produced marginal severe hail and downbursts.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeThe Warren County Emergency Management Director reported that lightning struck a home. The home was completely destroyed from the resulting fire.
