An upper ridge began to build in again from the west but was not yet dominating the area. Several showers and thunderstorms developed in the afternoon and evening hours, and a few of these became severe with mainly damaging winds reported. Also, several people were injured in a lightning strike in Fayette County, and one incident of flash flooding occurred in DeKalb County. |
