| Event narrativeevent_narrative | Lightning struck the Whitehall Township municipal building on the afternoon of the 28th. The thunderstorm produced several strikes that hit township buildings on MacArthur Road and a propane tank at the public works building which caused an underground tank fire. The municipal building was struck, but suffered no apparent damage. The building was evacuated as a precaution. Another lightning strike caused a loss of power to a fuel pump on the township building's property. No injuries were reported. |
