Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAn unseasonably strong mid-level atmospheric disturbance moved across a marginally unstable airmass across northern New York during the early afternoon of the 5th. This resulted in the development of showers and a few scattered thunderstorms, including a severe thunderstorm which moved across the towns of Morrisonville and Beekmantown in Clinton county. This storm produced damaging winds that knocked down tree limbs and power lines, as well as a lightning strike that caused a small fire at a home in Beekmantown.
