This was followed by the passage of a strong cold front. This storm system triggered severe storms with scattered reports of hail and wind damage over central Mississippi and northeast Louisiana during the late afternoon and overnight hours. Hen size and tennis ball size hail was reported with a few of the storms. Heavy rainfall led to flash flooding along the Interstate 20 corridor as well.
