Thunderstorms that developed during the afternoon were enhance by the Lake Erie lake breeze and produced hail up to three-quarter inch in diameter near Lancaster, Erie County, and Cassadaga, Chautauqua County. A 40-year-old man was slightly injured when he was struck by lightning in the Town of Chautauqua.
