As the day progressed, scattered showers and thunderstorms developed over the eastern half of Puerto Rico. Some of these thunderstorms impacted northeastern Puerto Rico and produced wind gusts of up to 40 mph and frequent cloud to ground lightning. 3 people were injured by a lightning strike in Fajardo while the side of a roof was damaged by a lightning strike in San Juan.
