Scattered to numerous thunderstorms developed in advance of the front in two waves, first across central Georgia during the afternoon, followed by another round across north Georgia during the late afternoon and evening. Damaging straight-line winds occurred with several of the storms, along with frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Very little hail was reported.
