A lightning strike from the nearby storm struck two men, injuring both of them. One had to be resuscitated with CPR. As of early July 2023, both were recovering from their injuries.

One of the individuals regained consciousness and performed CPR on the other, who was later flown to Salt Lake City for advanced medical care.
