Heat indices in excess of 95F degrees were concentrated along the Hudson River Valley. Severe thunderstorms were focused across the Upper Hudson Valley as well as southern Herkimer County. Damage was mainly due to downed trees and wires, though lightning strikes caused two separate house fires. Heavy rainfall also led to some minor street flooding around Glens Falls. A few power outages occurred across the Upper Hudson Valley as a result of the storms.
