Showers and storms developed along the I-10 corridor and then moved eastward and merged with the pinned Atlantic sea breeze boundary along the I-95 corridor. Strong storms developed along the merger in the late afternoon into early evening and produced locally heavy rain, brief gusty winds from wet downbursts, and frequent lightning. Light steering flow resulted in slow-moving storms causing street flooding in the westside and northside of Jacksonville. |
