Heat indices reached the mid-90s to lower 100s across the Hudson River Valley from the Capital District and points south. ||During the afternoon and early evening hours, showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of an approaching cold front. A couple of these storms became severe producing isolated wind damage across portions of Rensselaer and Columbia counties.
