| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | A meso-scale convective system (MCS) developed out of afternoon thunderstorms initiated along a frontal boundary in northern Alabama and Georgia on the 21st. That MCS raced south across southern Alabama and Mississippi during the overnight hours, moving across the local area on the morning of the 22nd. There was also flash flooding in the Baton Rouge Metro due to the portion of the squall line associated with the MCS slowing down as it moved through there. In addition, a home and junior high gym caught fire after lightning strikes. No injuries reported with those fires. |
