A few of these storms became severe and produced a mix of hail and wind damage across the north. Areas around West Point, MS received golf ball sized hail while areas between Brooksville and Macon, MS were hit by 70 to 80 mph winds which caused damage to homes, businesses and downed many trees and power lines.
