This combined with several strong upper level disturbances resulted in numerous thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Many of these thunderstorms became severe. While penny sized was reported in spots, damaging winds from the thunderstorms was widespread. An EF-0 tornado was also confirmed in the community of Chesapeake Beach in Calvert County. |
