Weather forecast office sourcewfo_sourceMesonet
Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA line of thunderstorms moved across southwest Wisconsin during the evening of October 1st. These storms produced winds strong enough to remove the roof from a farm building near Platteville (Grant County). These storms dropped between 3 and 4 inches of rain and with already saturated soils, the runoff created some flooding problems. County Highway O was closed near Dickeyville (Grant County) and other roads across the southern part of Grant County were also closed because of flooding damage.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeThe mesonet reporting equipment near Platteville measured 3.53 inches of rain.
