Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeClusters of strong thunderstorms developed during the early to mid afternoon hours. One of the thunderstorms knocked a tree down onto a residence near Ford City. Intense rainfall from a thunderstorm in Muscle Shoals caused brief flash flooding prompting the rescue of one person from a vehicle submerged in 3 feet of water. The HCN automated rain gage at the TVA reservation measured nearly an inch in 10 minutes and just over one half inch in 5 minutes. A rain total of around 1.5 inches fell in 30 minutes.
