An elderly woman had to be rescued from the house, fortunately uninjured.||A rockslide occurred on Kentucky Highway 1274 in Menifee County, about 1.5 miles from the Rowan County line. This forced the closure of the road for about 6 hours on the 17th.||Yet another round of showers and thunderstorms led to flash flooding in Clay County during the afternoon, this time near Burning Springs and U.S. Highway 421. This prompted the county to declare a State of Emergency as nearly $75,000 of damage was incurred due to flooding and heavy rain. Approximately 20 county roads and 15 bridges were damaged as nine people were forced to leave their homes. |
