| Episode narrativeepisode_narrative | An upper level low pressure system remained nearly stationary over southern California and continued to spread wrap around moisture into the area. This resulted in another afternoon of showers and thunderstorms on June 2. One cell produced a tornado east of Bakersfield while several others produced heavy rainfall and small hail. A slow moving thunderstorm produced flash flooding in downtown Coalinga which damaged several structures. The low moved east on June 3 and 4 which resulted in less moisture spreading into the area and fewer thunderstorms on the following afternoons. |
