This ranked as the 6th wettest June day in the climate records for Roanoke, dating back to 1912. The IFLOWS gage at New Castle (NECV2) in Craig County measured 3.93 inches in 3 hours and 3.03 in 1 hour (ending at 8 PM local daylight time). This 1-hour value is in excess of a 200-year event (.005 Annual Exceedance Probability) at this duration and location. |
