| episode_narrative | A low pressure system that moved off the North Carolina Coast helped produce a band of heavy rain across southeast New Jersey throughout the evening of the 20th into the early morning of the 21st. Storm totals in this band averaged between 1.5 and 2.5 inches, most of which fell during an eight hour period from 6 p.m. EDT on the 20th through 2 a.m. EDT on the 21st. Some urban and poor drainage flooding occurred, but no other serious problems were reported. As a result of this band only Cumberland and Atlantic Counties (on a county weighted average) came close to normal precipitation for the month of June. Storm totals included 2.78 inches in Estell Manor (Atlantic County), 2.32 inches in Absecon (Atlantic County), 2.11 inches at the Atlantic City International Airport, 1.93 inches in Millville (Cumberland County), 1.83 inches in Seabrook (Cumberland County), 1.51 inches in Beach Haven (Ocean County), 1.44 inches within Atlantic City and 1.34 inches in Atsion (Burlington County). |
